Healths status dynamics in adolescents of ukraine

Perspectives on public health in the near future determines the health of today's teens. At present there are unfavorable demographic trends remain high sickness teenage population, increasing chronic disease in childhood, there are changes in the structure of general morbidity, the number of adolescents who are at high medical and social risk. Development of science-based proposals and implementation mechanisms to strengthen, improve the health of the population based on the study and analysis of the characteristics of their health.

The paper presents the results of the health status analysis in adolescents of Ukraine for the period 20012012. The data of medical statistic center were used. The objective of this study was  to rate the health status among teenagers 1517 y.o. and track the trends of it’s changes.

A steady rise in the prevalence value, which increased from 2001 to 2012, amounted to 42.0 %. The highest points of prevalence of diseases through teenagers 1517 y.o. were noted in Kiev (29368,3) and Kiev areas (28275,8), in Kharkov areas (2634,4), Rovno areas (24461,7) and Vinniza areas (18792,4) ‰.

 For the analyzed period there have been registered some changes in the patterns of the diseases. In 2012 the diseases of osteomuscular system, connecting tissue and circulatory system rose to much higher level, as those in 2001. Although the prevalence of respiratory system diseases, diseases of endocrine system and congenital anomalies decreased.

In 2012 the leading disorders were the diseases of respiratory (34,9 %) and digestive organs (9,54 %), osteomuscular system and connective tissue (8,32 %), eye and adnexa oculi (8,07 %), endocrine, nutritional and metabolic disturbances (7,12 %), diseases of the nervous (5,7 %) and urogenital systems (5,14 %), as well as skin and subcutaneous tissue (4,61 %) sores. The dynamics of changes as regards the values was estimated by the growth rate has been registered in such classes as: neoplasms, congenital anomalies, deseases of the circulatory system, of blood, blood-forming and respiratory organs.

The prevalence of diseases among young men aged 1517 years lower than those of girls.

In 2010, prevalence of diseases was 19,725.1  and  22,135.5 among boys and among girls.

Тhe growth rate had differences over time among boys.  Rate of increase in prevalence of diseases from 2001 to 2005 was 7.3 %,  from 2005 to 2010 was 24.9 %

The data obtained should be used for the development of the directed preventive programs and organizational decisions concerning improvement of medical assistance quality.

Priorities in addressing these issues should be considered: 1) to conduct further research to justify measures of active prevention of child health, health- assessment, introduction of modern technologies for diagnosis and correction premorbid panel status; 2) monitoring of risk factors and carrying out preventive measures aimed; 3) potentialities of cross-sectoral cooperation between doctors, authorities and teaching staff; 4) raising the educational level of medical school services can serve as monthly seminars, which are held in academic institutions that are seen topical issues of diagnosis, surveillance and prevention of school-caused diseases.
